She sells sea shells...... not quite that bad, but we are feeling like we are doing tongue twisters most days!
We are currently in a class called 'Sounds and Symbols' (Phonetics)
It has been very stretching for us. It is something that we both enjoy but are not great at. This class has given us a greater appreciation for the complexities of human speech!
Why Phonetics?
One thing we value greatly is clear communication. Phonetics helps us to better train our ears and mouth to speak in a way that sounds natural (without an accent) and clear to the listener. We learn how to hear the actual sound that is being made with the voice apparatus and how to reproduce it (kinda technical but SO important). It is another vital part of connecting with people.
We are trying to get the most out of this class but are finding ourselves lacking the time to practice our skills in the evening. Please be thinking about us in this area.
Today our sweet boy turned 2 years old.
We cannot express how thankful we are to be able to raise him. He is such a joy to us and constantly teaches us new things.
